Paul (Elijahu) Wolff was born in Lüneburg in 1889. His father was Lüneburg merchant Julius Wolff, who had remarried as a widower with four children after the death of his first wife Pauline; his mother was Julius Wolff"s second wife Henriette, née Lewinsohn. Paul was Henriette"s first child. He only lived to the age of six months. His parents had to bury him in Lüneburg"s Jewish cemetery in January 1890.
