Frieda Oppert was the first child of the Lüneburg engineer Adolph Oppert and his wife Auguste, née Meyer. She grew up in Lüneburg together with her younger sister Henriette.
On September 18, 1875, not yet five years old, Frieda died in Lüneburg of "Rachenbräune", i.e., diphtheria. She was buried in the town"s Jewish cemetery.
