Moses Israel Güdemann was a commercial apprentice in a Lüneburg store. He was born in Bolzum in 1833, as the son of Israel Moses Güdemann and his wife Rahel Güdemann, née Benjamin, who came from Bleckede. In Bolzum, there was a rather large and strong Jewish community.
It is not yet known when Moses Israel came to Lüneburg. We only know from the Jewish community"s death list that he died of "nervous fever" (i.e. typhoid fever) in 1852 and was buried in Lüneburg"s Jewish cemetery.
