Minna Mindel Horwitz was born in Lüneburg in 1889 as the second child of cattle dealer Hermann Horwitz and his wife Bertha, née Naumann. She died far too young on March 25, 1889, just two months old, and was buried in the Jewish cemetery in Lüneburg.
