Louis Marcus, who was born in 1878 and died in 1879, was the ninth and last child of Samuel Marcus from his first marriage to Bertha, née Salomon. He died far too early, before he was six months old. A few months after his death, his mother Bertha also died. They were both buried in the Lüneburg Jewish cemetery.
