Magnus Marcus junior, Textile and shoe business
Hermann Marcus was the fifth child of Magnus Marcus Jr. and his wife Sophie, née Levy. He was born in Lüneburg in July 1881, one year after the birth of his sister Clara, who had lived for only ten days. Hermann also died far too early, at the age of one, in July 1882. The cause of death listed in the synagogue community"s death register was “chest disease.” Like his older siblings Bela and Clara, Hermann was buried in the town"s Jewish cemetery.
