Hattie Rosa Bier died of heart disease in Lüneburg in December 1882. The synagogue community"s death register notes that she came from Lauenburg and was the daughter of merchant Immanuel Bier and his wife Rosa, née Mannheimer. Her age is given as “22 years, 8 months, 19 days.” Perhaps she worked in a shop or a household in Lüneburg – or perhaps she was just passing through. In any case, she was buried in the Jewish cemetery in Lüneburg.
