Mother of Theodor Philipp [*1837]
Wife of Simon Philipp [*1794]
Hannchen Philipp née Wolff was born in Reckendorf in Franconia in 1799. There was an important Jewish community there. It was also the original home of the Simon Heinemann family, who later settled in Bleckede and then in Lüneburg.
In 1831, Hannchen married Simon Philipp, a native of Altona. Later, the two lived in Wandsbek, where their son Theodor was born - Theodor Philipp, who later was to be the teacher of the Jewish community in Lüneburg for over forty years.
After the death of her husband in 1869, Hannchen Philipp moved from Wandsbek to Lüneburg to live with her son Theodor and his family. In 1881 she died in Lüneburg and was buried in the Jewish cemetery.
